The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV: approved for the new Formula E championship!

A test session at Issoire, near Clermont-Ferrand, France, on April 14-16, 2014, enabled Michelin to sign off the new tyre that will feature in the brand-new FIA Formula E World Championship for electric single-seater racing cars which kicks off later this year.

Trial: Toni Bou back to the lead

After a tough event for him last week in Corsica, Toni Bou (Montesa Michelin) reacted this weekend in Alagna Valsesia (Italian Alps). The reigning World champion won the event and is back at the lead of the series, just one point ahead of Adam Raga (Gas Gas).

Trial: Adam Raga leads the world

For the first time in its history the French island of Corsica met a Trial World Championship round, and for sure this race will stay in the memories! At first the race was stopped during the first day, and then the event saw Adam Raga (Gas Gas) beating the reigning World Champion to lead the series.

MotoGP: Michelin back in 2016

After a seven-year absence from the discipline, Michelin is to return as official tyre supplier to the MotoGP World Championship for three years beginning in 2016. The French firm has won 26 world titles and 360 race wins in motorcycle racing’s premier competition.

Supermoto: T. Chareyre and Hermunen share the spoils in Romania

Thomas Chareyre (TM Racing Factory-Michelin) and Mauno Hermunen (SHR-TM-Michelin) won a race each at round two of the 2014 FIM Supermoto World Championship in Arad, Romania.

SuperMoto: world championship action returns to Romania

Ten years since its last visit, the 2014 FIM Supermoto World Championship features a round in Romania. This weekend, the second meeting of the season will be hosted by the town of Arad, around 20km from the Hungarian border.

Enduro: new winners in Greece

Except in the junior class where Giacomo Redondi (Beta Michelin, Junior) won both days, the Grand Prix of Greece had some intense battles and finally no other riders were able to score a double win. Christophe Nambotin (KTM) and Eero Remes (TM), Pierre Alexandre Renet (Husqvarna Michelin) and Antoine Meo (KTM), Ivan Cervantes (KTM) and Matthew Phillips (KTM) all won one day of this dry and warm GP in the E1, E2 and E3 categories.

Rally Raid: Barreda won the Sealine Rally in Qatar

After a final sprint two weeks ago in Abu Dhabi during the opening round of the Rally World Championship, the Sealine Cross-Country Rally in Qatar was another sprint as after 1912 kilometres of stages, Joan Barreda (Honda Michelin) beats Marc Coma (KTM Michelin) by only one minute and twenty-three seconds, and Helder Rodrigues (Honda) by one minute and fifty seconds.

Trial: Double win for Adam Raga in Japan

That’s not so often that Toni Bou (Montesa Michelin) didn’t got at least one win during a two days Grand Prix, and that’s what happened this weekend on the Twin Ring of Motegi (Japan) during the second round of the FIM Trial World Championship.

Bol d’Or: Kawasaki SRC salvages victory at Magny-Cours!

The last Bol d’Or to be held at Nevers Magny-Cours will be remembered as one of most entertaining in recent years. Difficult conditions led to a record number of falls up and down the leaderboard, but that didn’t prevent Kawasaki SRC from collecting its third straight Bol d’Or victory. Second place ended up in the hands of GMT 94 (Michelin), while Junior Team Suzuki added a top-three finish to its triumph in the Superstock class.

Bol d’Or: News of pole-vaulting champion Renaud Lavillenie

New Michelin tyres for the Bol d’Or

Michelin has developed new tyres for this year’s FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) following the introduction of new regulations which restrict the number of tyres that can be used during 24-hour races to 45.
