Honda presents 2015 Dakar line-up

Honda HRC took advantage of the MotoGP race at Aragon to introduce its new look line-up for the 2015 Dakar (January 4-17).

Rallye de France (WRC): short but sweet!

For the fifth consecutive year, but for the first time without local star Sébastien Loeb, the Rallye de France visits the country’s Alsace and Vosges regions. Although the route is just 303.63km in length (the shortest of 2014), it has attracted the biggest entry of the season (97 cars).

2014 FIM EWC: a 15th world class title for Michelin

Five years after claiming the EWC crown (Endurance World Championship) with Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) in 2009, Michelin secured its 15th world class title in the discipline – this time with Yamaha Racing GMT 94 – at the 24 Heures Moto (Le Mans), the season’s final round. Winning the year’s top prize is a fitting reward for the excellent collaboration Michelin has enjoyed this year with the French endurance motorcycle racing team.

The N°94 Yamaha-Michelin clinched the 2014 FIM EWC crown at Le Mans on Sunday, yet its race nearly ended a mere 24 seconds after the 24 Heures Moto’s Saturday start!

ERC: Assertive Cyprus success for Al-Rajhi

One week after his troubled run in Australia (WRC), Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Ford RRC/Michelin) collected victory in Cyprus which counted towards the FIA’s 2014 European (ERC) and Middle East (MERC) Rally Championships. The Saudi Arabian was joined on the all-Ford podium by Poland’s Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Qatari Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari.

24 Heures Moto (EWC): victory for Suzuki, the title for Yamaha/Michelin

The 37th 24 Heures Moto, final round of motorcycling’s 2014 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), was won by the N°1 Suzuki (SERT). The N°94 Yamaha (GMT 94/Michelin) came second to clinch the 2014 EWC title. Third on the podium was the N°7 Yamaha (YART), while Superstock honours went to Qatar Endurance Racing Team’s N°95 Kawasaki (4th).

6 Hours of COTA (WEC): an Audi one-two in Texas

Audi/Michelin collected a one-two finish in the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas, round four of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship. Top honours went to the N°2 Audi of Lotterer/Fässler/Tréluyer, ahead of the N°1 sister car (Di Grassi/Duval/Kristensen). The N°8 Toyota (Davidson/ Lapierre Buemi) was third, followed by the two Porsche 919 Hybrids. Victory for Aston Martin/Michelin in LM GTE and for KCMG in LM P2.
