France won the ISDE

The final racing day of the ISDE, organised in San Juan (Argentina) didn’t changed anything in the standings and France won the Trophy class while USA dominate the Junior class.

ERC (Tour de Corse): Sarrazin’s laurels!

The 57th Tour de Corse, final round of the 2014 FIA European Rally Championship, was won by Stéphane Sarrazin and his Ajaccio-based co-driver Jacques-Julien Renucci (Ford/Michelin). They were joined on the podium by Bryan Bouffier (Ford) and Kevin Abbring (Peugeot). Esappeka Lappi is the 2014 ERC champion.

FIA Formula E: Michelin tyre testing for the future

Energy efficiency was a key consideration during development of the Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres which feature on the FIA Formula E Championship’s all-electric cars. Michelin Motorsport’s engineers are already exploring new solutions for upcoming seasons.

Tour de Corse (ERC): a stylish end to the season!

The 2014 FIA European Rally Championship draws to a close this week in Corsica. The event’s exciting new route has attracted 17 S2000, R5 and RRC cars – the best entry of the year.

Two more world rally titles for Michelin

The 2014 World Rally Championship (WRC) has seen Michelin secure its 24th Manufacturers’ crown and its 22nd Drivers’ crown in association with Volkswagen and Sébastien Ogier.   

WEC (Shanghai): another 1-2 finish for Toyota/Michelin

Toyota Racing has followed up its one-two triumph at Fuji with another at the 6 Hours of Shanghai which was won by the N°8 Toyota TS040 Hybrid of Buemi/Davidson, ahead of the N°7 car (Sarrazin/Wurz/Nakajima). The N°14 Porsche (Jani/Dumas/Lieb) was third again. There were one-twos for Porsche/Michelin in LM GTE Pro and for Aston Martin/Michelin in LM GTE Am.

Enduro, last event of the season

The Enduro season will end soon in Argentina, home of the famous International Six Days Enduro next week. More than 500 riders coming from thirty different countries will enter this National Teams race, organised in San Juan who already met two Grand Prix in the past and also the Dakar rally in January.

WEC (Shanghai): business and sport in China

FIA World Endurance Championship action resumes next weekend at China’s Shanghai International Circuit. The country is one of the most important markets for the makes competing in LM P1-H, namely Audi, Porsche and Toyota, as well as for their tyre partner Michelin.

Rallye du Valais (ERC): Lappi defends championship lead

The weekend’s Rallye du Valais was won by Esapekka Lappi (Skoda/Michelin) for the second year in a row. The Finn has taken a step closer toward the 2014 European title and was joined on the Swiss podium by Craig Breen (Peugeot) and Sepp Wiegand (Skoda).

WRC (Espana): victory and the title for Ogier

A second win for Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia (VW/Michelin) in Spain has earned them a second straight world title. Jari-Matti Latvala made it Volkswagen’s eight one-two finish of the year, while Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) claimed the 68th podium of his career.

Four fastest times for Jari-Matti Latvala today were insufficient to worry team-mate Sébastien Ogier (VW/Michelin) who is still around half-a-minute clear in front. The Frenchman is looking good to secure the title on Sunday afternoon…

WRC (Espana), after Leg 1: Ogier steps closer to the title

Sébastien Ogier (VW/Michelin) wrapped up the first leg in Spain with an advantage of more than 30 seconds over his biggest threats whose ranks are led by fellow title chaser Jari-Matti Latvala (2nd, +36s6). The Finn, Ostberg, Mikkelsen and Hirvonen are covered by less than five seconds.
