MotoGP™: Aragon honors for Bastianini as Michelin tires contribute to more records

Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP) clinched a dramatic win on the last lap of the Gran Premio Animoca Brands de Aragón, Round 15 of the 2022 MotoGPTM World Championship. Second and third were his future team-mate Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro. In spite of the Spanish venue’s reputation for being tough on tires, the front-runners converted their confidence in their MICHELIN Power Slicks to establish new track-lap, race-lap, top-speed and race-duration records for Motorland Aragon.

Toyota and Michelin score Fuji 1-2

The 6 Hours of Fuji – fifth round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship – was dominated by Toyota Gazoo Racing and its tire partner Michelin. The Japanese team finished its home race in first and second places with the N°8 and N°7 GR010 Hybrids of Buemi/Hartley/Hirakawa and Conway/Lopez/Kobayashi. Ferrari/Michelin claimed the same positions in LMGTE Pro.

MotoGP™: Bagnaia and Michelin set more records at Misano

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) collected his fourth straight win of the 2022 MotoGPTM World Championship at the Gran Premio Gryfyn di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini (Round 14), ahead of his 2023 team-mate and fellow-Italian Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing). Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) was third. The grip and consistency provided by Michelin’s Power range not only gave the riders confidence but also helped to set new records for the Italian venue.

MotoGP™: Michelin helps Bagnaia to Austria win

Francesco Bagnaia was first over the line at the CryptoDATA Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, Round 13 of the 2022 MotoGPTM World Championship. The Ducati Lenovo Team rider finished clear of Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and team-mate Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team). The versatile MICHELIN Power range proved competitive around the Red Bull Ring’s revised layout and two different front-rear pairings making it onto the podium.

Vandoorne and Mercedes seal Formula E’s 2021/2002 titles at Michelin’s 100th e-prix

A founding partner of the FIA Formula E Championship since the latter’s inaugural season in 2014/2015, Michelin contested its 100th e-prix this weekend in Seoul. The South Korean double-header saw it help Belgium’s Stoffel Vandoorne and Mercedes EQ Formula E Team to the current campaign’s Drivers’ and Constructors’ crowns.

MotoGP™: Bagnaia on top as more records tumble for Michelin at Silverstone

The Monster Energy British Grand Prix, Round 12 of the 2022 World Championship, marked the return of MotoGPTM action after the summer break. Michelin hit the ground running to contribute to new fastest lap, fastest race-lap and shortest race-duration records for Silverstone with tree different riders and provide yet another illustration of the MICHELIN Power range’s outstanding versatility. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) picked up the day’s win, ahead of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing Team) and Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team).

Dennis and di Grassi in ExCeLlent form in London

Briton Jake Dennis (Avalanche Andretti Formula E) and Brazil’s Lucas di Grassi (RoKit Venturi Racing) took advantage of the performance and longevity of Michelin’s Pilot Sport EV Formula E tire to win the two London E-Prix, while Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes EQ FE Team) took a step closer to the 2022 title.

Cassidy and Da Costa on top in the Big Apple

The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV helped Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing) and Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah) to claim the season’s two New York City E-Prix in mixed weather.

Alpine and Michelin victorious at Monza

Bouncing back from a challenging Le Mans 24 Hours, the Michelin-shod Alpine A480 shared by Nicolas Lapierre, Matthieu Vaxivière and André Negrão returned to its winning ways at the 6 Hours of Monza today (July 10). The French outfit beat the two similarly-tired Toyota GR010 Hybrid entries to the top step of the podium. On its eagerly-anticipated return to endurance racing, Peugeot showcased its potential on Michelin rubber. The N°64 Michelin-equipped Corvette prevailed in LMGTE Pro, with the N°77 Michelin-tired Porsche taking top spot in LMGTE Am.

Mortara (Venturi/Michelin) takes Marrakech win

Saturday’s Marrakech E-Prix was won by Edoardo Mortara after an assertive display that was aided by the consistency and longevity of his MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV tires. The Venturi/Michelin driver was joined on the podium by Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah/Michelin) and Mitch Evans (Jaguar/Michelin).

Michelin’s sustainable racing tire makes Goodwood appearance

After attending early-June’s Le Mans 24 Hours, Michelin’s new racing tire made from 53 percent sustainable materials was out again at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 23-26) on both the fuel-cell electric H24 prototype and the Porsche GT4 ePerformance which was making its maiden public airing.

MotoGP™: more Michelin records tumble as Bagnaia wins at Assen

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) returned to his winning ways with victory at the Motul TT Assen, Round 11 of the 2022 MotoGPTM World Championship. Second and third were Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) who made it three different bikemakers and the same number of MICHELIN Power Slicks pairings on the podium. The French tires reveled in the weekend’s changeable conditions to establish new track-lap, race-lap and shortest-distance benchmarks for the Dutch venue.

MotoGP™: Quartararo’s Germany tire gamble pays dividends!

Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) claimed his second MotoGPTM victory in a row when the 2022 World Championship traveled to the Sachsenring for Round 10 – the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland. The defending champion’s decision to run the medium MICHELIN Power Slick at the rear in spite of the hot weather paid off handsomely, helping him to finish five seconds clear of Johann Zarco (2nd, Prima Pramac Racing) and Jack Miller (3rd, Ducati Lenovo Team).
