MotoGP: Marc Márquez takes Le Mans spoils

The winner of Sunday’s HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France (Round 5 of the 2018 MotoGPTM World Championship) at Le Mans-Bugatti was Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team). Danilo Petrucci (Alma Pramac Racing) and Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) were second and third.

One-two glory for Audi/Michelin in Berlin

Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler marched to a one-two triumph on home soil thanks to Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi. Third place for Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) has taken the Frenchman even further clear at the top of the Drivers’ points table with only three more races to come.

Michelin back on top at the Nürburgring

Michelin took the top prize at last weekend’s Nürburgring 24 Hours in tandem with the Manthey Racing-run Porsche 911 GT3-R of Richard Lietz, Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy. Two Black Falcon Mercedes AMG GT3s made it an all-Michelin podium.

MotoGP: Marc Márquez earns Michelin’s 400th premier class win at Jerez

Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) took the 2018 Gran Premio Red Bull de España spoils to score Michelin’s 400th victory at GP/MotoGPTM level. The world champion crossed the Jerez finish line ahead of Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech3) and Andrea Iannone (Ecstar Suzuki) to ease clear at the top of the provisional Riders’ table.

Toyota/Michelin claim 1-2 finish at Spa

Toyota Gazoo Racing monopolised the top two places at the end of the hot and sunny 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, opening round of the 2018/2019 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). First over the line was the N°8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Buemi/Nakajima/Alonso, chased by the N°7 prototype of Conway/Kobayashi/Lopez. Third was the N°1 Rebellion/Michelin, while the LM GTE Pro victor was the N°66 Ford/Michelin of Mücke/Pla/Johnson.

Tanak and Toyota/Michelin steal Argentina limelight

Ott Tanak collected the third world class win of his career, and his first behind the wheel of a Toyota Yaris WRC/Michelin, with victory in Argentina. The Estonian was joined on Sunday’s podium by Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC/Michelin runners Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo.

Paris glory for Vergne

The provisional 2017/2018 ABB FIA Formula E Championship pacesetter Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah/Michelin) produced a lights-out to chequered flag performance to win his home race. The Parisian was joined on the Paris E-Prix podium by Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler) and Sam Bird (DS Virgin).
